Bintulu Golf Club is a world-class golf course in Sarawak, Malaysia, located in a thriving township that was once a sleepy hollow before the discovery of natural gas. The course is an 18-hole, 6796-yard layout sculptured from a 140-acre strip of jungle that offers a breathtaking view of the South China Sea. Designed with a USGA course rating of 72.7 and a slope rating of 127, the course is known for its narrow fairways and hilly, undulating terrain, which provide a variety of lies and shot-making challenges. The countless bunkers, ravines, and water traps add scenic beauty and make the course a nerve-wracking challenge for golfers.
Due to its proximity to the sea, the course is constantly affected by wind, which can change direction at any moment, especially during the monsoon season. The contemporary clubhouse offers many facilities such as changing rooms, lockers, a restaurant, an open-air golfers’ terrace, a conference and VIP room, a pro shop, and a driving range that welcomes members of the public. Bintulu Golf Club is one of the few 18-hole golf courses in Sarawak and is considered one of the special golf courses in Malaysia, offering a pleasant and breezy round for golfers to enjoy.
