Blue Star Golf Course is situated on a former mining site and boasts a unique layout of cliffs and severe drop-offs. The local Thai Design shares many design elements with Grand Prix and Blue Sapphire courses, both of which are also located on old mining sites. From the starting hole to the finish, the course presents a challenging round of golf. Large pot bunkers with deep sand, fairway edge drop-offs, and green undulations make scoring well even more difficult.
The Blue Star Golf Course features Paspalum grass from tee to green, which is lush but requires long carries as rolls are uncommon. The standout hole at Blue Star is the long par-4 sixth, surrounded by five large greenside bunkers. A bogey here would be considered a good result.
While Blue Star Golf Course may not have the same level of grooming or sophistication as some other courses, it offers extreme golf challenges that may appeal to some players. Facilities and caddie services are average, with mostly local players frequenting the course. Green fees are low, making it an affordable option to choose while playing golf in Thailand.
