Guilin Merryland Golf Club Hilly Course is one of three 9-hole courses in the Guilin Merryland Golf Club, located in Xing’an District, Guilin City, Guangxi Province. As the name suggests, the course takes players on a journey through rolling hills, lush green forests, and natural streams. This is not the type of course where you just come, hit a few shots, and then leave, but a challenging stroll through a vivid natural picture.
The special feature of Hilly Course is the feeling of “constant change” when moving through each golf hole. A tee shot high up, the wind blowing in the middle of the mountain, then immediately after that is a light putt at the foot of the hill, with the sound of forest birds and a light mist. These are experiences that not many golf courses can bring. The natural terrain is kept almost intact, so each shot requires players to really think, not only about the distance but also the slope, wind direction, and sometimes, even the flow of the stream!
