Halim Golf Club (or Padang Golf Halim) is located to the south of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, which makes its location very strategic and relatively close to the center of Jakarta. The course stretches for 6,048 meters, consists of 18 holes, and is a sports facility owned by the Indonesian Air Force. Opened in 1971, this field operates every day, from 05:00 am to 06:00 pm, except Mondays starting at 12:00 noon. This field can be reached by driving in 40-50 minutes from downtown Jakarta.
Having the motto “The Greenery Course in Jakarta”, Halim Golf Club offers a very natural feel of beauty. The chirping of birds, the gentle breeze, and the beauty of the various trees and lakes add a deep impression to every game here. Tall and large trees are a characteristic of Padang Golf Halim as well as enhancing the aroma of the forest in the middle of the city. It has wide fairways with narrow greens that will test golfers’ confidence and accuracy in iron play. Hole 4 par 4 is one of the signature holes at this course. The large number of trees means that golfers are required to be able to make accurate tee shots and short iron shots toward a narrow green guarded by two deep bunkers. Meanwhile, on the second nine holes, hole 13 with a dogleg par 4 to the right requires the golfer to drive straight before hitting sharply to the left.
