Located on a peninsula in the Dok Krai Reservoir, King Naga Golf Club, formerly known as Century Golf & Country Club, is a Nick Faldo-designed course that offers stunning views and exciting challenges. The course, situated about 30 minutes drive from Pattaya, is almost flat and has no water hazards, but is dotted with 120 bunkers and jungle-lined fairways, which pose a challenge to golfers of all abilities. With four sets of tees, the championship tees play 6,910 yards, allowing golfers of all skill levels to enjoy this Rayong golf club. Most greens are flat and open, with hazards being 30-40 yards away from the putting surfaces.
King Naga Golf Club’s 18th hole, measuring 593 yards, is one of the best holes on the course. Sixteen bunkers are located in the driving and second shot landing areas, requiring big hitters to use long wood shots or forcing higher handicap players to opt for more conservative layup play. While the service and facilities are basic, they are adequate for the general golfer’s needs. Green fees are low, and the course can be played for as little as THB 100 (USD 3) on certain days during the low season. The course is generally well-maintained and playable throughout the dry season, although it can get soggy during the wetter months due to its proximity to water and the jungle.
