Lanna Golf Club is laid out on an area of 700 rai. The course is conveniently located 10 minutes from the center of Chiang Mai and within the Lanna Sports Center. Lanna Golf Club was one of the first Thailand golf courses in the country and it is very popular with locals.
There are 3 nine-hole courses in Lanna Golf Club which are generally flattish. The first and second nine are tree-lined and a fairly long park land layout. Together they comprise the Old Course. The course features some interesting holes with fairways divided by large trees. Several lakes and many strategically placed bunkers add to the challenges. The third nine has six of its holes within a race track plays shorter. Doi Suthep Mountain and Temple are visible from all parts of Lanna Golf Club. Shot accuracy is favored over distance for a good score.
The clubhouse is quite old and more for locals. However, food prices are very reasonable with many Thai dishes available for less than USD 3.
