Located just an hour’s drive through the captivating Outeniqua Pass from George, Oudtshoorn Golf Club offers a unique golfing journey distinct from its coastal counterparts along the Garden Route.
With its inception in 1922, it stands as the route’s oldest golf establishment. The course, redesigned by Bob Grimsdell in the late 1950s, now stretches over 6,210 meters, playing to a par of 72. Its tree-lined fairways and thoughtful layout feature two nines returning to the clubhouse, each incorporating a blend of par threes and fives. Particularly notable is the “Horseshoe” trio of holes, offering a memorable challenge with strategic water hazards and tree placements, epitomizing the course’s blend of natural beauty and golfing test.
This heritage-rich club presents golfers with a distinct and historic experience set against the backdrop of Oudtshoorn’s serene landscape.
