Shek O Golf And Country Club is a private members-only golf course located on the southeastern side of Hong Kong Island. It has a short layout with the front nine overlooking the ocean and the back nine winding through a peaceful valley. Although lacking any signature holes, it has several excellent short Par 4s and a few risk-reward holes that make it a very nice golf experience.
The club has a casual and unhurried atmosphere and is not as pretentious as other private clubs in Hong Kong. The clubhouse is small and unassuming, and the staff is friendly. Shek O Golf And Country Club has been around since 1919, making it one of the oldest in Hong Kong and Asia.
If you want to catch a glimpse of the course and the lifestyle of the wealthy members, you can hike up to the top of Dragon’s Back for spectacular views. Overall, Shek O Golf And Country Club is a great place to play golf in Hong Kong if you can get an invite from a member.
