Subic International Golf Club

Subic International Golf Club has a long history. It was first established in the 1960s as a recreation facility for the US military. In 2016, Subic International Golf Club took over this course and started to re-construct. It was re-opened as one of the best golf courses in the Philippines in 2018.

The designer of this course, Desmond Muirhead, fashioned it incorporated with the natural environment so that players can adorn scenic spots during their golf tours. Subic International Golf Club is surrounded by untouched rainforest, so the view from any angle is incredible.

The green is made from Paspalum grass and is very flexible in shape. This is a new generation of grass, which is well-known for its high quality. Each green uses five grass panels to create different undulations, while each hole has 4 – 5 tee grounds. To put it simply, Subic International Golf Club is not long but challenging and requires accurate swings from golfers if they want to go to the end of the round.

Unlike most golf courses anywhere, where the forests are cut down to replant strategic trees, Subic International Golf Club owns the rainforest that hasn’t been touched for thousands of years. The rainforest’s magnificent view is a unique feature that enhances the golf experience.

Subic International Golf Club is an all-weather 18-hole course thanks to the modern drainage system. The greens and fairways are always in good condition, whether in dry or rainy seasons. The clubhouse is modern, with first-class locker rooms and a restaurant.
