Sunshine Golf Club

Kunming Sunshine Golf Club is an international standard 18-hole Urban Mountain golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones. The course is located in a dense pine valley with spectacular natural environments in the north of Kunming City such as Expo Garden, Kunming Botanical Park and Black Dragon Park. The course is also quite conveniently located, only about 15 minutes from the city center and about 40 minutes from the airport. Awarded Asia’s Top 100 Golf Courses in 2022, it has hosted regional tournaments, representing Yunnan’s golfing reputation.

Sunshine Golf Club is designed in harmony with the surrounding nature, not only preserving the natural terrain and landscape, but also incorporating natural caves, wildflowers, pine forests, fruit trees and lakes as course barriers and scattered landscapes. The course is covered with the best quality Bent Grass. The bunkers next to the golf course or the greens are flat or deep and inclined. The greens are characterized by large areas, fast speeds and many hidden paths, creating a tournament-level challenge for players. The front nine holes at Sunshine Golf Club are moderate in terrain and therefore less difficult. As long as the ball lands in the right place and the speed of the green is grasped, players can easily tee off and stroll leisurely. The back nine holes are unstable in terrain, therefore have a higher level of difficulty and sometimes have unexpected situations, which will definitely bring players the mystical experience of the endless scenery on Peril Peak.

The clubhouse at Sunshine Golf Club is fully equipped with facilities and entertainment such as a driving range, pro shop, clubhouse, VIP meeting room, cinema and villas. Sunshine Golf Club also has Asia’s first-class golf driving range with 40 practice spots, 20 for general golfers and the remaining 20 for member golfers, and the driving range has floodlights, which is rare in China.
