GolfLux to Host an Amateur Golf Tournament in March 2024 – Vietnam Tourism Open
GolfLux, named last month as Vietnam’s Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2023, is to host its amateur tournament – VIETNAM TOURISM OPEN, on March 17 – 21, 2024 in Hanoi. This event is organized in cooperation with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism as an effort to promote the tourism industry of Vietnam.

Vietnam Tourism Open – Full Event Schedule
Vietnam Tourism Open will see you at Heron Lake Golf Club, Thanh Lanh Golf Club, and FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club – the three most picturesque and challenging golf courses in the region. Accompanying non-golfers joining this event can spend time discovering North Vietnam’s famous tourist destinations, including Ha Long Bay, Hoa Lu – Tam Coc, and Hanoi City Center. The detailed event schedule is as follows:

Day 1: Player arrival and registration. Welcome dinner on this day.
Day 2:
- Golfers: Play the 1st round at Heron Lake Golf Club.
- Non-golfers: Visit Hoa Lu – Tam Coc in Ninh Binh province. You will have a chance to check out Dinh Kinh and Le Kinh Temples and indulge in a bamboo boat ride over Tam Coc, which is called the “Ha Long on land” of Vietnam.
Day 3:
- Golfers: Play at Thanh Lanh Golf Club
- Non-golfers: Join the Hanoi city tour, and check out the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and Hoa Lo Prison. The day ends with a water puppet show at Thang Long Water Puppetry Theater.
Day 4:
- Golfers: Play at FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club
- Non-golfers: Discover Ha Long Bay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vietnam where you can observe many limestone islands rising in the water, go kayaking, and swim in the turquoise water.

Regulations of Vietnam Tourism Open
Entry is open to all male and female golfers over the age of 35 with an official handicap. All golfers play a 54-hole single stableford event, while “A” grade golfers are eligible to compete for the best stroke/gross.
Age Groups and Handicap Divisions (A,B,C)
You are guaranteed to play with golfers your age and standard:
- 35-55 (max. h’cap 30 men; 40 ladies)
- 56-65 (max. h’cap 30 men; 40 ladies)
- 66+ (max. h’cap 36 men; 45 ladies)
In partnership with GOLF Link (Australia) and International Golf Associations, the tournament committee will review the 6-month playing history of all entrants. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend player handicaps.
Pace of Play
For the enjoyment of all players, field sizes will be limited and marshalls will monitor the pace of play.
