Vietnam Wins Asia’s Best Golf Destination Award for the 8th Time
Vietnam was honored to receive the award for Best Golf Destination in Asia 2024 from the 11th World Golf Awards held on November 23. This is the 8th consecutive time Vietnam has been honored with this award.

On the evening of November 23, in the Madeira archipelago, Portugal, the organizing committee of the World Golf Awards announced the list and destinations that won awards related to golf. The categories are divided by region and a general world category (including 27 awards) honoring hotels, destinations, tour operators, holes, television stations, brands… about golf.
Of which, Vietnam has 2 awards. First, Hanoi (Vietnam) was honored with the World’s Best Golf City Destination 2024 award. According to the official website of the unit, Hanoi surpassed other strong competitors such as London (UK), New York (USA), Paris (France), and Rome (Italy) to reach the above title.
In addition, in the Asia category, Vietnam won the Asia’s Best Golf Destination 2024 award, followed by China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Thailand. Up to now, Vietnam has been voted the Best Golf Destination in Asia 8 times and won the Best Golf Destination in the World Award twice. This affirms the brand, attractiveness and position of Vietnam on the world golf tourism map.
The awards are the result of a year-long search for the world’s favorite golf tourism brands. The vote was conducted by experts in the golf field, the media and the public. The winner is the candidate who receives the most votes in a category. Vietnam is considered an ideal golf destination in Asia with beautiful natural scenery and a tropical climate that is very favorable for investing in developing golf courses and golf tourism. According to preliminary statistics, Vietnam has about 100 18-hole golf courses, of which 32 courses meet international 5-star standards combined with luxury resorts.
